HD-04: The New Imaging Spectrometer Data Analysis System (ISDAS2013)

H. Peter White, Additional (TBC)

Abstract:

This tutorial shall introduce the new ISDAS2013 system. ISDAS2013 has been designed to assist the Canadian hyperspectral community process and analyze hyperspectral data. ISDAS2013 provides a range of image preprocessing, information extraction, and data simulation tools with a focus on data quality and user needs, independent of the data source.

Biography:

H. Peter White is currently a Research Scientist with the Canadian Centre for Mapping and Earth Observation, Natural Resources Canada, Ottawa, ON, Canada. For over a decade, his remote sensing interests have involved using hyperspectral remote sensing for modelling optical bidirectional reflectance of canopies, environmental monitoring, and geological exploration. He is the primary developer of the FLAIR Model (Four-Scale Linear Model for AnIsotropic Reflectance) used for modelling the reflectance characteristics of various canopy structures. His recent research has focused on data quality and simulations of hyperspectral imagery to advance the efficacy of remote sensing applications. This has led to his drive to develop ISDAS2013.
